HAPO CCU was in up to their eyeballs on a site in a new development and things weren't quite working out. Been there?
The location was excellent; the developer, however, was having a hard time. HAPO needed an advocate that could represent their interests, and in so doing, deliver a prototype branch capable of meeting HAPO's market objectives. Average performance wasn't going to cut it.
EHS Design had developed a world class branch business model. Now HAPO needed to get control over the situation on site, get the building designed and permitted and get it built...yesterday.
EHS Design had a solution; get its partner Momentum involved. They know what we know. They knew that an integrated approach to delivery was just the ticket to navigate a difficult permitting situation and once there, be ready to hit the ground running to deliver the building. HAPO needed to know not only that it was going to workout on site, but when? More importantly, they needed the confidence that the cost projected would not only deliver value but would hold.
Momentum jumped on board with EHS Design through the design phase, and as the design developed, established a budget and worked with the city to ensure that everything met the letter of the rules. With local engineering support, Momentum negotiated complex arrangements with no less than three jurisdictions all having a say over the project.
Approval accelerated. As the city completed its review, the project was bid to local contractors and equipment providers along with another location on the boards. Once construction started, the project was set up for success. Success that would carry forward to the next branch and beyond.
Momentum not only came back from 4 weeks behind schedule, we returned over 6% of the overall project value in savings to HAPO. Savings and performance on the second location would mirror these outstanding results and that is only the beginning for HAPO.
Don't take it from us...
I wanted to let you know I did a walk-thru today...it looks absolutely great. I know there are a lot of people involved in these projects and I've got to tell you, I couldn't be happier with the level of support we are receiving. - Steve Anderson, COO, HAPO Community Credit Union
