Jim Haack writes chapter in CUES Complete Guide to Credit Union Facilities

August 20, 2009

Jim Haack contributed a chapter in the new CUES Complete Guide to Credit Union Facilities, fully authored by our own Strategic Partner, Paul Seibert.  The book contains up-to-date and forward-looking information on branch and operations planning and covers such topics as strategic branch and occupancy analysis, branch business modeling and prototypes, building headquarters, market analysis, growth planning, branding, and mergers. A national survey of credit unions was completed to steer the book toward the most pressing issues for credit unions and to learn how they use facilities today and their plans for the future. Findings from this survey are included in this book.

Paul Seibert, author of the 1994 first edition (then titled Credit Union Facility Strategies, Planning and Management), says a lot has changed since the last update in 2004.  "We wanted to make sure every new topic and all current information was included and explored in detail in this latest version. With this book we created an essential tool for credit unions to, among other things, avoid costly mistakes and ensure a high return-on-investment on capital spending." Seibert's book is the only one of its kind in the nation.

The book is available through CUES® the Credit Union Executives Society at  www.cues.org/completeguidetocufacilities or (800) 252-2664.
