3 Rivers Federal Credit Union - Groundbreaking Press Release

February 2010

3Rivers Federal Credit Union recently celebrated their future progress and past 75 years of serving their members' financial needs with a groundbreaking ceremony for two new full-service branches. Despite frigid weather, the event was warmly received and well attended by 3Rivers board and team members, local city/county officials, business community representatives, and Indiana Credit Union League President, John McKenzie.

The branches are being developed to serve the ever-growing northwest and southwest corridors of the Ft. Wayne/Allen County area and will serve as a prototype for future facility developments and renovations. These two credit union facilities are the first in the state of Indiana to seek LEED certification, a green building design and construction benchmark. Unique design features of the branches include dialogue centers, flex-service offices and financial education elements, which highlight the unique message of the 3Rivers brand promise.  You can watch the progress of each branch project in real-time by visiting 3riversfcu.org/GO2010.

3Rivers has placed a significant emphasis on ensuring all construction services are supplied by local vendors and trade contractors. In addition, a significant amount of construction materials are being sourced locally.

Strategic branch planning, design, merchandising and construction management services are being provided by Momentum, with offices in Seattle, Louisville and Pittsburgh. For more information regarding the projects, contact Greg Barrett at 206-267-1900.
