Congratulations to Whitney Wiggins, Interior Designer, On Earning Her WELL AP Credential!
The Momentum team would like to congratulate Whitney Wiggins on passing the WELL Accredited Professional (AP) exam. Whitney is an interior designer, and with this credential she’s joining a global community of professionals who are advancing human health and wellness through healthy buildings and organizational changes.
WELL Certification helps organizations deliver spaces that fully support occupant wellbeing in every aspect of both the built environment and organizational policy, from clean air and healthy lighting to turning off email after hours to promote work-life balance. It enables organizations to demonstrate their commitment to employee and customer wellbeing in a meaningful way, and it’s become a powerful recruiting tool. Momentum is known for delivering the first WELL Certified credit union facility in the world for HAPO Community Credit Union. While pursuing the WELL AP credential Whitney has gained a deeper understanding of the WELL framework and the science that drives it, and she now acts as the WELL Advisor on our project team. She’s building a more strategic process for pursuing WELL Certification throughout the design and construction phases of our projects, as well as optimizing individual client strategies by prioritizing the features that fit with their culture, mission, and people.
While the built environment is a large part of WELL Certification, change management presents the biggest challenge. Not only is the physical environment changing, but organizations are also fundamentally changing how they operate. This means not only establishing policies that support employee wellbeing, but developing a culture that embodies and supports these policies. As part of her education, Whitney has developed the knowledge and skills necessary to help our partners discover what will work for their organization, gain buy-in from their people, and ultimately make these changes stick.
We’re excited for this next step in Whitney’s career and the opportunity to take wellness oriented design to a new level going forward.
