The Challenge
Elevate the kind of conversation we’re having in the branch
Project Background
The 3Rivers Federal Credit Union brand was strong and remained well known in the Fort Wayne metro area. The market, however, had shifted. In-store leases were being terminated, the growth in the market had evolved and 3Rivers needed to reevaluate where they were located and how best to serve a changing demographic. Combine that with an institution-wide initiative to elevate the conversations in the branch and it was clear market analysis work, and an updated branch prototype would be necessary.
Momentum was fully engaged with 3Rivers on the campus expansion of their Northland Main Operations Center. A signature main branch was envisioned, and this prototype would form the basis of the branch network expansion. In total, six locations of varying size were identified, and Momentum was engaged to complete all the branch work through a rolling schedule that prioritized location changes, new property purchases and new leases.
The program culminated in a showcase downtown location adjacent to the Minor League ballpark.
Market Smart for the Long-Term
Momentum’s program work spanned a four-year relationship touching every existing location and adding four new locations. The branches and the Operations Campus were all LEED-certified giving 3Rivers the unique honor of becoming the largest private institutional owner of LEED Green- certified buildings in the State of Indiana. Numerous local green practices awards, a Credit Union Industry Best Practices Award, and best of all, selection as a Fort Wayne employer of choice have all contributed to its exceptional growth and annual performance.
