The Challenge
Create a unified, differentiated brand presence during a phase of rapid growth
Project Background
Momentum has partnered closely with the HAPO Community Credit Union executive team for more than a decade to strengthen its competitive advantage, expand its community presence, and support its aggressive growth through more than nine major projects.
In 2006, after expanding its charter to open membership to all residents of Washington and then northern Oregon, HAPO needed to develop its branch network quickly while maintaining a consistent brand experience throughout the region.
From Branch Prototype to Expanded Branch Network
Momentum helped shape the entire process, from strategic planning and site selection to branch prototype design and construction execution. Each new location was developed using the HAPO branch prototype as a model, encouraging direct connection between members and employees through unique design touches like universal associates and transaction pods.
The Momentum team partnered with EHS Design and Weber Marketing Group on eight branch projects – seven built from the ground up and one renovated extensively. Using design-build delivery methods, the team delivered the new branches with less than four months of construction time, saving the CU more than 6% of the project’s overall anticipated cost.
We’ve had nine separate projects, with total dollars to date exceeding $50M. We consider Momentum a true “partner” in every sense of the word.”
